Another month of new opportunities, situations, and games!
This month has been a massive deep dive into learning how CS2 has started to form in its competitive environment. Plenty of practice days and officials have given insight into different situations in the game, and to be honest, we are now finally starting to enjoy the change!
In my eyes, the game is the same in most areas. Things have transferred over from CS:GO, but in some ways, the game is totally different, especially with how some of the maps have changed and the utility changes. Also, there isn’t a coach slot, so I’m watching the games on Discord streams (coaches feel me on this one, haha!) We are starting to find ourselves in new situations, and that in itself has been rewarding!
Adjusting to change
The change to CS2 has raised motivation for all of us. It feels like a new beginning, just like the first time we started playing CS:GO; we feel that way now in CS2. At first, there was a defensive block of not accepting the new game, as we still had officials in CS:GO. But once they were finished, we turned our full attention to CS2; it sparked us all to enjoy the change and look forward to the future.
CS2 has a lot of potential; it has a massive chance to be bigger than CS:GO, provided that updates and feedback are taken correctly. I look forward to hitting the server a few more times with both the Academy and Prospects to end this year strong.

Prospects, ja katseet kohti tulevaa
Prospects- valmennuksen osalta katse on kääntynyt jo vuoteen 2024 ja olemme käynnistäneet tryoutit ensi vuoden valmennusryhmään. Mukana on yli parikymmentä lupaavaa nuorta, jotka pääsevät näyttämään taitojaan ja soveltuvuuttaan useilla eri osa-alueilla.
Tryoutit koostuvat haastatteluista, tehtävistä, sekä vietämme paljon aikaa myös servulla. Myös kaikki nykyiset Prospects -pelaajamme ilmaisivat halukkuutensa jatkaa valmennuksessa myös ensi vuonna, mikä on tietenkin hieno kuulla! Tämä tarkoittaa sitä, että hekin ovat mukana tryout-prosessissa.
Tähän mennessä olen saanut tutustua haastatteluiden kautta moniin lahjakkaisiin nuoriin ja tryout-pelit ovat olleet tasaista vääntöä. Tunnelma on ollut aina katossa ja sekä pelaajat että valmentajat ovat nauttineet ajastaan servulla.
Näistä pelaajista kasaamme yhdessä koko valmennusringin kanssa ensi vuoden Prospects -ryhmän. Valinnat eivät tule olemaan helppoja, mutta olen varma että saamme jälleen kerran erinomaisen porukan kasaan.
Ensi vuodeksi pistetään vielä isompi vaihde päälle, stay tuned!
