Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer: "I haven't enjoyed playing this much in years"

Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, our new CS:GO IGL, managed to spare a moment from the team's busy schedule to chat with us before its debut match!

During its first two weeks, the team has been working long, hard days. They have been preparing for their first appearance on the server in Snow Sweet Snow and the ESL Pro League that’s looming on the horizon.

"Everyone in the team has really enjoyed these two first weeks. It's been very hectic; we've been trying to get in as many hours as we could. Even though we've been playing 10-11 hours some of the days, people have been ready and serious, and it just feels really good."

- Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, CS:GO IGL at ENCE

Snappi is a well-established veteran of the Counter-Strike franchise. He and a fellow "dinosaur" natu reminisced the olden days when they faced each other a few times. Snappi tells us about his history with both CS 1.6 and Global Offensive, shedding a bit of light on his retirement years and why he returned to the grind in 2016.

Two weeks is an incredibly short time to start from zero with a new team, but Snow Sweet Snow is set to begin today, as we go against our first opponent, Izako Boars, in the evening. The team still heads into their games feeling confident and keeping in mind that both wins and losses contribute to their official match experience as a lineup.

"We discussed if it was a good idea or not to play in this tournament already, cause obviously we only had two weeks. It's not a lot, and we won't have a map pool that's ready to go into a tournament. But we felt like... To us, the major tournament is the ESL Pro League. So, we need to prepare as well as we can for that — and if that means we have to go a bit more unprepared to official games to learn how people act in them... because there actually can be a difference."

Hear more thoughts from Snappi by watching the full video at ENCETV and catch the team at 19:00 tonight in the Snow Sweet Snow Main Swiss Stage!
